Cramer gets beaned, Tucker crowds the plate… Play Ball!

If you follow politics, news, and such the way I do you probably caught wind of the brutal back and forth that occurred last week between Jon Stewart/The Daily Show and CNBC/Jim Cramer. Â If not, I’ll try to sum up: Â Some asshole named Santelli on CNBC referred to those Americans who can’t afford their mortgages as “losers” to the cheers of a bunch of douchebag stock traders. Â That led the boys (and girls, Samantha Bee, will you marry me?) over at the Daily Show to leap to the defense of said homeowners and point out a few of the “mistakes” the CNBC folks made in the run up to the biggest financial meltdown in history. Â For a network claiming to be full of financial experts, Stewart and his team made them look like the dart throwing buffoons they are. Â Jim Cramer, another CNBC financial “expert” fought back (feebly, but he still fought back) against Stewart thereby focusing the laser sharp sights of the Daily Show team on him specifically. Â When Cramer went on the Daily Show on Thursday in hopes of saving face, he was again destroyed by Stewart. Â You can watch it on youtube or comedycentral.com, find your own links, use the google, it’s not hard.
So, there’s your history. Â Now, Idiot Boy Tucker Carlson has called Jon Stewart a number of things, including a partisan hack. Â Mistake. Â (it would be nice if I could have somehow written that so you could hear it how I hear it… in a high pitched voice, drawing out the second syllable, oh well.) Â My guess is that Tucker will be on the receiving end of a nice montage of clips of himself being a partisan douchebag on his former show, CNN’s Crossfire. Â The very show that Stewart went on a few years ago, and called out the moderators for being nothing but partisan hacks and failing miserably as journalists. Â The show which was cancelled a couple of weeks later. Â That show.
Carlson is in so far over his head, it should be amusing to watch him get some attention from the Daily Show this week. Â Love Stewart or hate him, he and his team are very good at what they do and make no bones about eviscerating those who deserve it. Â Tucker deserves it. Â And then some. To get back to the baseball analogy I titled this piece with: Bring the Heater and give ‘em the Brush Back. Â Tucker is just stupid enough to stand in the way so he can get to first base for free, even if it means he gets there with a shattered skull. Â Fine with me. Â Play Ball!
